“ Came on a saturday, very busy. Is this the only proper fish and chip in takapuna? - Snapper 8.9/10 Great fillet, cooked very well. Fillet was nice and white and was a great peice of fish. - Chips 6.5/10 Found my chips were overcooked. Had brown chips which been on the oil too long. But in saying that they were crazy busy so ill give the benefit of the doubt. - Scallops 8.8/10 Very good sized and aced these. Not over battered either, which is a good sign. Must try. Overall, order you food on the phone to avoid being waiting for 30-45 min for your order. Nice spot. ”

“ Tastes pretty good and didn't have to wait too long, not cheap but would probably say it's worth it, burgers (except for some of the steak ones) are still under $10! Batter came off the fish quite easily, but didn't affect the eating experience or taste Different size options for sauce, which was quite nice Have seen people come here to buy their fresh seafood range and as well ”

“ Exactly what I’d expect from fish and chips, was not disappointed. Tasty chips and plenty of options on the menu. They also let you pick fish out the window to be cooked as one of the options. Would highly recommend trying their grilled fish, very tasty. I do miss their deep fried mars bar. ”

“ Pretty good fish’n’chips however as the only one in the local area they are quite often busy and there can be a bit of a delay. Very small counter/lobby so be prepared to wait outside or in your car, or browse a local shop if still open. ”

“ We tried TFS today with seeing it on the Fish and chips article, thoroughly enjoyed all we ordered snapper, seadog, scallops and potato fritters All was perfect! Except for the smaller potatoes fritters I think they put in complimentary as they were not as good as the 2xbig ones I ordered, the smaller ones were not soft inside nor like the big ones so we didn't eat it ...but waste not we shared them to the birds But everything else yum! Frankie loved the snapper biggy! ”
